What To Do When You Feel Like No One Really Cares About You
We all get lonely now and then but sometimes this feeling of loneliness can overwhelm us. It can make us feel like no one really cares about us. At times like these you might realize how alone you really are.
And when you suffer from social anxiety it’s very likely that you don’t have that many friends that would make you feel welcomed. You don’t have that many friends that would be there for you when you need them. So when this moment of loneliness comes you have no one to comfort you.
This feeling of loneliness can be very overwhelming and can even lead to depression. That’s why it’s very important that you do your best to prevent these moments when you feel like no one really cares about you.
So how do you prevent these moments?
Well, you got to stop pushing people away.
I know this is difficult when you have social anxiety and you feel most comfortable when you’re alone. But when you push people away you‘ve got no one there when you need someone in your life and you need a shoulder to cry on.
Don’t put a barrier between you and other people.
If there are certain people in your life that you like or even love, let them know how you feel.
Don’t keep it to yourself.
When you keep things like this to yourself other people cannot know that you like them and you care about them.
Consequently they think just the opposite.
They think that you don’t care.
They think that you don’t want them to be around.
They think that you don’t want their friendships.
So, that’s how you end up alone and lonely. People stop caring about you because they believe that you don’t care about them.
That’s why it’s so important that you show them how you feel.
It’s important that you show them that you care.
I know that this can be hard sometimes but you simply got to do it. You got to have at least one person that you can talk to… someone that you can openly communicate with.
This allows you to share your feelings with someone else.
You see, when you have someone that you can openly talk to you also have someone that’s there for you. You are there for them and they are there for you.
When you feel depressed and lonely you can simply call that person and talk with him or her.
Or you can invite that person to your home to watch a movie or have a dinner together.
Or just talk with them one on one when you need to.
So, don’t push people away. Let them know how you feel about them.
Let them know that you care because they need to know this. They need to know that you care about them just as much as you need someone to care about you.
And in return they will start caring about you and you will no longer feel like no one really cares about you.
Give as much love as you want it in return.
No matter how good your intentions are you have to show people through actions that you care. You got to tell them about it and you got to do things together with them.
That’s what friends do. They do things together and they share their thoughts and feelings.
So in order to receive love you got to give love first.
